Public Safety Partners
In late 2018 as we began to launch the Soundness Initiative it became clear that it was necessary to expand our collaboration efforts to organizations serving law-enforcement and other public-safety professionals beyond their banking needs. When it comes to The Four Pillars of Soundness – Financial, Physical, Emotional, and Professional – we clearly have the expertise to offer in the first area given we have several POCUA Credit Unions that provide guidance to public-safety professionals and their families every day. When it comes to the other three areas, it became clear that we needed to develop relationships with knowledge and proficiency in these fields. Thus, the Public Safety Partner program was created.
Our Public Safety Partner program is currently open to 501c3 organizations that serve first responders and/or their families under the following requirements:
Must place the POCUA logo prominently on their website with a link to our website and list our organization as a partner.
Promote each episode of Public Safety Talk Radio via their social media.
Actively collaborate and look for ways to support fellow member organizations of the POCUA.
Our program benefits our Pubic Safety Partners in the following ways:
Register for POCUA events at POCUA member discounts
Have their logo on our website as a POCUA Public Safety Partner
Have access to POCUA Partner only calls, video meetings, and collaboration meetings
Have access to the decision makers of our POCUA Credit Unions and Business Partners for the purpose of having them support their events and initiatives
Our Public Safety Partners provide an important piece of the puzzle not only to the Soundness Initiative and our support for first responders but also directly to our POCUA Credit Unions and Business Partners. Aside from the promotion mentioned above, our Public Safety Partners provide areas of support to the POCUA Credit Union members when needed, especially when it comes to emotional support.
Law-enforcement and other first-responder organizations that are interested in becoming POCUA Public Safety Partners may contact Ken Bator at kbator@policecreditunions.net.
